Main activities
Studies are carried out in the fields of chorology, systematics, taxonomy, phytogeography, ecology and physiology of some plant species in Bulgaria.
Current projects
Studies on the flora and vegetation of the protected territories of Treskavets in Stara Planina Mountain and Sokolata in Maleshevska Planina Mountain
Studies on the flora and vegetation of the marshes at Dolni Bogrov Village near Sofia and of the protected territories of Dreneto near Botevgrad and Turchenitsa at Lokorsko Village near Sofia
Collections
In the museum are preserved about 1200 samples of Bulgarian flora, as well as the lichen collection of Bozhana Zhelyazova (ca. 5000 samples).
