Birds — Spirit Preserved Collection
It numbers 44 spirit/formalin preserved specimens of birds, mainly of embryos, juveniles and anatomical abnormalities.
Contains specimens of bearded vulture, Himalayan monals, other species of pheasants, etc.
It was established by Dr Paul Leverkühn. The oldest specimen was prepared in 1887.
It is stored in a part of the Palaeontology Hall in the main building of the museum.
