Status — 
The range of the species is limited to North Spain, South-Central, Eastern and South-East Europe. In Bulgaria rare and mainly in the mountains up to 2100 m (Rhodopi: Karlak) (Buresch & Tuleschkow, 1930: 176). Listed as vulnerable in Red Data Book of European butterflies (van Swaay & Warren, 1999: 137).
