Research interests


Taxonomy, biodiversity and distribution of fungus gnats of families: Bolitophilidae, Diadocidiidae, Ditomyiidae, Keroplatidae and Mycetophilidae; faunistic studies and conservation of invertebrates; tropical ecosystems; molecular methods in taxonomy.

Current projects


2024 — Taxonomic and faunistic research of the family Mycetophilidae (Diptera) in the Oriental region.
2023 — Ecological, territorial and landscape impacts of model photovoltaic parks — risk assessment for biodiversity, natural ecosystems and their ecosystem services (Plovdiv University “Paisii Hilendarski”) — analysis and assessment of biodiversity on the territory of photovoltaic parks (invertebrates).
