Stefaniya Kamenova has been selected as a Citizen Science Ambassador for Bulgaria as part of the European Citizen Science Project

Stefaniya Kamenova, PhD has been officially selected as a Citizen Science Ambassador for Bulgaria as part of the European Citizen Science Project. The project is funded by the European Union and its main objective is to coordinate and unify fragmented citizen science efforts across Europe. Stefaniya will be part of a larger network of ambassadors, representing each of the 27 European countries and the UK.

Citizen science starts to be popular in Bulgaria too, and Stefaniya’s role will be to promote and expand citizen science initiatives and resources at the national level, in collaboration with local and European partners. The ambition is to build a strong Bulgarian Citizen Science community bringing together citizens from diverse horizons, academics and various stakeholders involved with the management and conservation of biodiversity in Bulgaria.
