The July 2025 issue has been published

Issue 7 of volume 47 of Historia naturalis bulgarica was published today, 1 July. It includes two articles.

The first, First record of the fungus Setomelanomma holmii (Pleosporales, Phaeosphaeriaceae) on Picea abies in Bulgaria by Maria Dobreva, Margarita Georgieva, Pencho Dermendzhiev, Vasil Velinov, Rumen Nachev and Georgi Georgiev, reports spruce needle drop disease of Norway spruce (Picea abies) associated with a fungal pathogen Setomelanomma holmii for the first time in Bulgaria.

The second, Lizards in the dark: first records of nocturnal activity of the eastern green lizard (Lacerta viridis) (Reptilia: Lacertidae) in Bulgaria by Emiliya Vacheva, Borislav Naumov, Georgi Krastev and Nikola Stanchev, presents the first in situ observations of nocturnal activity in Lacerta viridis from two different regions in Southern Bulgaria.
