Issue 6 of volume 47 of Historia naturalis bulgarica was published today, 2 June. It includes three articles on insects.
The first,
Ectrepesthoneura arturi sp. n. from Baltic amber (Diptera: Mycetophilidae) by
Dimitar Bechev, contains a description of a
new species of the fungus gnats family Mycetophilidae from middle Eocene Baltic amber from Poland, the area that includes the villages of Mikoszewo, Jantar, Stegna and Sztutowo, Gdańsk district.
The second,
First record of Drosophila suzukii (Diptera: Drosophilidae) on the fruits of Viscum album spp. album in Bulgaria with authors
Gergana Zaemdzhikova,
Plamen Glogov,
Mariam Bozhilova and
Mihail Kechev, records for the first time the invasive fly Drosophila suzukii as a pest on the fruit of European mistletoe (Viscum album ssp. album Linnaeus) in Bulgaria.
And the third,
Immature stages of Callimormus saturnus (Herrich-Schäffer, 1869) (Lepidoptera: Hesperiidae, Hesperiinae, Hesperiini, Moncina): biology, morphology and behaviour by
Arthur Morais de Medeiros,
Adalberto Dantas de Medeiros and
Solange Maria Kerpel, describes the biology, morphology and behaviour of the immature stages of the hesperiid Callimormus saturnus from Brazil.
