First discovery of a Devetakia species (Gastropoda: Hydrobiidae) from the Rhodopes Mountains, Bulgaria

Abstract: A new species of the genus Devetakia, Devetakia apostoloui n. sp., is described from Vucha River, South Bulgaria. The new species is the first member of the genus and the first species from ancient hydrobiid clade from the region of Western Rhodopes.
