[Summary]: So far (until September 2000) 69 taxa of many groups of organisms have been named after P. Beron. They include 4 new genera: Beroniscus Vand. (Isopoda), Beronium Southc. (Acari), Beronia Guéorg. and Beroniella Giach. et Guéorg. (Coleoptera) and 65 species. The material was collected almost entirely by himself in 21 countries: Belgium, France (Corsica), Italy (Sardinia), Albania, Greece (the continental part and the Aegean Islands), Bulgaria, Turkey (Anatolia), Iran, Afghanistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Burma, Thailand, Indonesia (Sumatra and Java), Papua New Guinea, China, North Korea, Morocco, Nigeria, Uganda, and Mozambique. The new taxa were described by 54 authors from 19 countries.
