Abstract: Data about 483 species of Macrolepidoptera from the Mesta Valley (SW Bulgaria) are presented. Some of the established species — Cilix asiatica (O. Bang-Haas, 1907), Trichiura verenae Witt, 1981, Tephronia sepiaria (Hufnagel, 1767) — are rare and locally distributed in Bulgaria. Herein Cilix asiatica is reported from Bulgaria for only the third time. Genitalia of Saturnia pavoniella, Noctua janthina and N. tertia are illustrated.
