Official celebration of the 120 anniversary of the museum's foundation

2009 marks 120 years since the founding of National Museum of Natural History, Sofia. The culmination of the celebrations of the anniversary will be on 27 October and will include:

10:00 — National Museum of Natural History
• Opening of the bas-reliefs of the founders of the museum King Ferdinand and Academician Ivan Buresch and a slab of the donours
• Opening of the new ‘Fishes’ hall
• Seeing of the anniversary exhibition
11:30 — BAS, The Great Hall
